Adama Ibrahim Appointed Vice Chair of the Cross Pharma Capacity Development Initiative (CPCDI) Advisory Committee

Adama's pioneering work in hybrid decentralised clinical trials, blockchain in healthcare, and disruptive digital platforms has redefined how trials are designed, delivered, and experienced.

The Science for Africa Foundation (SFA Foundation) is excited to welcome Adama Ibrahim as the newly appointed vice chair of its Cross Pharma Capacity Development Initiative (CPCDI) advisory committee, under its Clinical Research and Trials Programme (CRTC). 

Recognised as a UK Top 100 Influential Tech Leader, Adama brings over 20 years of transformational leadership in clinical trial innovation, digital health, Artificial intelligence, and patient-centric solutions. Her pioneering work in hybrid decentralised clinical trials, blockchain in healthcare, and disruptive digital platforms has redefined how trials are designed, delivered, and experienced. 

Adama’s extensive experience spans global trial leadership, regulatory innovation, and the integration of inclusive and scalable technologies across pharmaceutical R&D ecosystems. With an unwavering commitment to diversity, inclusion, and operational excellence, she continues to be a disruptive force in advancing technology-enabled trials across therapeutic areas and continents.

Together, we can co-create sustainable solutions that not only strengthen Africa’s clinical trial capacity but also ensure it is inclusive, tech-enabled, and globally competitive for the future.” Adama Ibrahim said. 

Commenting on the appointment Dr Allan Pamba, the chair of the CPCDI advisory committee, said, “Adama’s appointment brings an incredible depth of operational insight and strategic vision to CPCDI. Her proven track record in transforming clinical trials through innovation and inclusivity makes her an ideal partner in our mission to elevate Africa’s role in global research. As vice chair of the CPCDI advisory committee, Adama, together with other advisory committee members, will support ongoing strategic efforts to strengthen clinical research capacity in Africa, expand local leadership, and bridge global collaborations. Her passion for shaping equitable and future-ready research landscapes aligns powerfully with the SFA Foundation’s mission.
