Title: Modelling Aedes-borne Diseases for Improved Public Health Decision-Making in the Horn of Africa

Focus Area: Bernard Bett will develop models for dengue and chikungunya in Kenya, Somalia, and Ethiopia, using field data on mosquito density, infection rates, and human cases. The models will estimate outbreak risk, cost-effectiveness of interventions, and ecological tipping points, helping integrate control strategies across institutions in the Horn of Africa.
