SFA FOUNDATION

The Science For Africa (SFA) Foundation is an African
scientific organization working to support, strengthen
and promote science and innovation in Africa for the
benefit of all Africans.

SFA Foundation is a pan-African, not-for-profit, public charitable organisation
committed to supportung African scientists in addressing the continent's most
pressing developmental needs. Our vision is to "strenthen African science
for a better future in a global world". Our mission is "to promote science,
innovation, evidence and policy for improved health and economic
prosperity in Africa".

DELTAS Africa

 

The Developing Excellence in Leadership, Training and Science in Africa (DELTAS Africa) supports the development of world-class researchers and scientific leaders in Africa conducting cutting-edge, high-quality science to impact policy and practice in Africa.

Grand Challenges Africa

 

Grand Challenges Africa (GC Africa) supports the creation of extraordinary innovations that address health and developmental challenges in Africa. The programme awards seed and scale up grants to the continent’s most impressive solutions. It supports big, bold impactful innovative ideas that have a potential for scale and sustainability

Human Heredity & Health in Africa

 

The Human Heredity and Health in Africa (H3Africa) supports population-based studies that use genetic, clinical and epidemiological tools to better understand how the interplay between human genes and the environment influence disease susceptibility, pathogenesis and prevention with the goal of improving the health of African populations.

Open Research Africa

 

The Science for Africa Foundation community is dedicated to the principles of FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) publishing. Open Research Africa (ORA), a partnership of SFA and F1000, offers researchers the opportunity to share their findings on a rapid, peer-reviewed, indexed and FAIR platform.
